Following the Galaxy S24 series launch, Samsung has expanded its software support for select devices to an impressive 7 years, encompassing both operating system updates and security patches. In a move to further bolster its commitment, the company has announced extended support for certain Enterprise Edition devices.
Tablets released in 2024 or later are set to receive a remarkable 8 years of support. Presently, this applies solely to the Galaxy Tab Active5, unveiled in January, with future models expected to follow suit.
For Enterprise phones like the Galaxy Xcover7, Samsung pledges 7 years of support, mirroring the longevity promised to consumers with the S24 series. Notably, upon launch, the Tab Active and the Xcover initially offered a guarantee of 4 OS updates and 5 years of support.
