Activision has introduced its own rendition of the battle royale experience for smartphones, aptly named Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile. Distinct from the well-established Call of Duty: Mobile, the latter focuses on providing a single-player and traditional multiplayer experience, while Warzone zeroes in on the battle royale genre.
In Warzone Mobile, players have the option to participate in standard multiplayer servers after completing a few Warzone games. Interestingly, progression in terms of weapons, XP points, and achievements is seamlessly shared across all platforms, provided you log in with your Activision account. This feature proves particularly convenient for individuals who frequently switch between PC, console, and smartphone gaming.
For gameplay, players can utilize the touch controllers on their device’s screen or pair their Android/iOS device with a compatible controller. One popular option is the Backbone One controller, with the company even launching a special edition to commemorate the Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile launch.
Moreover, players can opt for other compatible controllers such as the standard Xbox Wireless Controller, the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller, or the wireless Sony PlayStation 5 DualSense and PlayStation 4 DualShock 4 controllers. This versatility allows players to enjoy the game with their preferred controller setup, enhancing the overall gaming experience.
